Benfield Timber Buildings is a high quality engineered timber frame kit manufacturer which offers a range of beautiful buildings made of wood. From homes you love to live in through to garages, balconies and car ports, we pride ourselves on only using timber from sustainable sources – much of which we buy locally in Wales where we are based.
Our timber frame houses and extensions provide the perfect structure for the cladding of your choice such as brick, stone, timber boarding, tile hanging or render. This makes each home unique. Timber frame construction in the UK is a genuinely sustainable building method. It provides more usable floor space for the same building footprint. It is also lighter than other construction materials which means it requires less expensive footings.
Our timber frame kits for garages, car ports and rooms above are simple to assemble. If you don’t have a builder, then we can recommend one for you or you may be an experienced DIY enthusiast who wants to tackle the job alone.
Whatever project you have in mind, we are there to help support you with design, planning guidance and delivery. Each of our designs can be changed to suit your needs. Client collaboration is the key. Our senior designer will talk through your ideas to uncover what will work best for you.
You’ll always get an immediate response from our team. All orders are tracked so you know exactly what stage they are at. We turn around quotes within a week.
Benfield Timber Buildings is run by former army officer (Major) Carl Benfield (CEng) who served with the Royal Engineers. He has worked on construction projects across the world and is a Chartered Engineer.
Quality construction and engineering are the foundation of the business as is our commitment to the battle against climate change. We have been recognised as a carbon champion leader within the construction industry. We aim to become carbon neutral by 2025. Looking after the planet for those who come after led to our Becoming Better Ancestors commitment.
Staff at Benfield Timber Buildings are paid at least the Living Wage – a voluntary increase on the government’s national minimum wage. It is paid by almost 9,000 employers across the UK who believe we all need a wage which meets our everyday needs.
The business is a member of the National Federation of Builders, National Custom and Self-Build Association and the Timber Research and Development Association. We are currently working towards accreditations for ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001.
